Leigh Bardugo
Leigh Bardugo (1975) es una autora americana referente en el panorama literario juvenil gracias a sus novelas de fantasía.
Nacida en Jerusalén, creció en Estados Unidos junto a sus abuelos. Tras estudiar Inglés en la Universidad de Yale trabajó en copywriting, periodismo y también en el ámbito del maquillaje y los efectos especiales. Además ha llegado a formar parte de un grupo musical, Captain Automatic, del que fue cantante.
Sombra y hueso fue la primera novela de Bardugo que vio la luz, y con ella comenzó la trilogía Grisha. Más adelante le seguirían Asedio y tormenta y Ruina y ascenso. Sin embargo, fue con la bilogía Seis de cuervos que la autora alcanzó su mayor éxito.
En 2019 la plataforma digital Netflix anunció que llevaría a cabo una adaptación de Sombra y hueso a lo largo de 8 episodios.
