Junji Ito
Junji Ito, uno de los grandes maestros del terror japonés, nació el 31 de julio en la prefectura de Gifu. Su interés por el manga de terror empezó en la escuela primaria cuando su hermana mayor le prestaba su colección del maestro Umezu Kazuo. Así, inspirado por la afición de su hermana a dibujar y por la obra de Umezu, el joven Junji Ito descubrió un hobby que, al principio, fue alternando con sus estudios y, más tarde, fue combinando con su profesión de dentista.
Osamu Dazai
Osamu Dazai, nacido bajo el nombre de Shūji Tsushima, fue un novelista japonés, considerado uno de los escritores del siglo XX más apreciados de Japón. Algunas de sus obras más populares, como El ocaso e Indigno de ser humano, también son consideradas clásicos modernos en su país.
